Enrichment

St Margaret Mary’s Junior School has an entrenched history of providing students with a broad, exciting and aspirational enrichment programme. We encourage our students to engage in a range of activities including music, sport, school theatrical productions. We are currently having a big push on enrichment as we understand the value this has for our children and how it can support both learning and mental health.

All our staff throughout the year will support our Enrichment Offer so that as many children as possible will benefit from these fantastic opportunities to enrich their time in our school. It will also link in well and support our children in achieving their SPOTLIGHT award.

Enrichment sessions allow children to gain experience and skills in areas not typically part of the everyday curriculum. These sessions (which take place outside of lesson time) are fun activities that will make pupils’ time at our school more enjoyable. Pupils will learn new skills, meet new teachers and make new friends.

We have spread the activities across all year groups and throughout the academic year.

All children benefit from our SPOTLIGHT curriculum throughout the year, but if they are interested in joining a particular after-school club, they should speak to their teacher who will point them in the right direction.
